How to install a 17' 1000lbs steel beam with 3 people.
bring up one side with a bottle jack and support with cribbing. the strap in the middle is for safety taking the weight if any of the cribbing failed.. The beam is up and in place.four 2x6 and placed on either side to support all the weight. the weight of the floors above is transferred to concrete pilers below.
